Self-Reflection

For this first major assignment I thought about what I can talk about that I currently deal with in real life which is procrastinating. When I saw that topic, I was excited to explore the meaning and tips I could offer to help someone else. I decided to go with an infographic because I felt it would be to the point and not have my target audience staring off into space. I used venngage to help make my infographic. The site made it easy to navigate as far as creating the template. I struggled trying to save and share my infographic. I did like that I was able to look up templates based on my topic, and they had the graphic lined up with photos already included which made my job less stressful as far as the design part. I ended up going with one source for this project and it helped me explain my point of view clearly. Next step I took was organizing my thoughts of what I wanted to say and what my bullet points would be. I followed similar steps to what my source provided.

I found challenging trying to minimize my thoughts on each point but also showing my words can have a magnifying effect. I didn’t want my statements to be too wordy. I also wanted to make sure I picked a legitimate source to use for reference. As I mentioned earlier trying to navigate the website was a bit challenging until I got the gist of using it. Trying to add and take away things confused me because I never used that website before. Overall, the part that was easy for me was inputting the information and everything automatically saving. I did not have to worry about my information being deleted or me not being able to come back to it easily after logging out.

In conclusion, I would use other sources like YouTube and google to help if I get confused and can’t figure out how to share or save information when trying to send so I can submit my work. I want to challenge myself on my next Major Assignment to ask my instructor questions when I don’t understand something. I find myself procrastinating when I need help and not asking for it until the last minute. Next time I will make sure I understand the assignment to the fullest and make it my best work each time.
